{HALF}

Yesterday morning I ran a half marathon.  Not my first, but my second.  I love the free-ness and sites that are seen while running, especially when running new territory.  Yesterday's run was in Vancouver, Wa, in many regions I don't generally explore.  The competition and challenge of running is thrilling and addicting.  I have debated running a marathon but not ready to train.  It takes time, LOTS, and I am not sure I am ready to give that much time up.
BEFORE

I am looking for my next run though.... not sure when or how far but looking forward to the free-ness and challenge of it!

finish line

yesterday i ran a 10k.  i was suppose to run the half marathon but due to an injury i slacked on running for a while.  i was disappointed because i always love a challenge and the competitiveness but also knew that if i didnt allow myself to heal from my injury i would not be running for a long time.  so i instead ran the 10k.  this was the first year for the run, heartbreak's half.  it was a lot of fun and an easy run, flat and scenic through downtown portland.

i felt well accomplished when i was done for the lack of running i have been doing.  i completed in 46.0 minutes, which is an average of a 7:29.  this is not my best time for a 10k but i finished... and i finished.

well compared to others.  in my age division i got second, and overall, i got twenty fifth.
it always feel so good to cross that finish line.  i love running and it is my passion.  running through neighborhoods, being challenged, doing something i love, and working hard.... give me the drive to continue to run.

FREE TIME

I am finished up with coaching Cross Country.  I am disappointed the season is over; however, I am excited about the next step I will embark on.  I look forward to having some free time and unexhausting days.  I always enjoy being apart of something and staying busy but this is a great time of year to relax and enjoy the wonderful fall-winter season {indoors}.

XC MEET today

cross country meet today.  i love these days, its so exciting to watch the runners work their hearts out, run with all they have, challenge themselves, and lastly, compete!  every practice impacts a race day.  to finally get to a race day... the runners get to show off!  every opponent passed,  all personal bests, and each race completed make these meets gratifying and memorable.

MondayMorning

There isn't a better way to start your week... and even your day with a morning run. Running the one of my favorite (if not my favorite) activity.  I do not look at running as something {I HAVE} to do, but more as something {I WANT} to do. The fresh air, competition, determination, and finish is indescribable.  The emotions and feelings I feel during and for running keep me going everyday.
